November Day Camp

Join us for a day at camp learning some new skills, heading outside together for some activities, meeting new people, and connecting with the Great Outdoors.

• 8:30 am – meet and introductions – coffee and pastries available.

• 9:30 am - Skills Session – Fire wood hunting, fire building and outdoor cooking (dress for the weather!)
  • Why you need this session – you make a fire and cook ALL the TIME!!
    • How to use a flint, how to make any wood flammable with your knife
    • Using moss and other materials as fire starter
    • Rules for back country hiking – when, where and how to NOT start a forest fire, OR smoke yourself out!
    • How to set up a pot/ spit, or flat cooking surface from materials around you

• 11.30-12.30 pm - Lunch – guess what!? You’re going to make your own!

** possible small hike/walk after lunch**

• 1pm - Skills Session – Planning for a trip, first aid in the bush, how to dress for outdoor activities
  • Why you need this session – You go outside ALL the TIME, and you wear Clothes!
    • We discuss some of the best and cheapest options for outdoor gear, cause Cabela’s is expensive!!
    • We discuss the importance of how to dress warmly AS A WOMAN, because we have different bodies and our extremities are usually colder! Not to mention, we have to undress to go to the toilet.
    • What should you know for first aid in the bush, what should be in your back pack, carry all for hunting and fishing trips.
    • What are some good apps for hiking trails and how to use them.

• 4pm - Arts & Crafts time
  • Stuff you can take home to the kids – for your next camping trip
  • knot tying, lanyard making.
  • Stick people

• Dinner – 5pm – courtesy of our team!

• 6pm - Games session – some team building activities centered around outdoors skills.

• 7:30 pm -  Campfire and/or home time.

What you need to participate: Warm clothes, outdoor boots/shoes, active wear, and a good attitude!

We will do our best to refund you as soon as possible, should plans change. A $50 nonrefundable administration fee will be charged
